I'm not one to buy into conspiracy theories - most of the time I think people have way too much time on their hands just for the sake of stirring up a little drama. But here is one I actually believe could very well be true - a claim that has apparently been around for years: that our very own government created Lyme disease.
Let's back up a little and talk about the general politics of the disease. Some of you know that the CDC (Center for Disease Control) and the IDSA (Infections Diseases Society of America) have long claimed that Chronic Lyme doesn't even exist. They will continue to deny it, because if there is one thing that insurance companies hate, it's chronic disorders that they have to spend time and money treating.
Doctors are losing their practices, and even being sued, all over the country, for diagnosing and treating Chronic Lyme Disease. Millions of people are being misdiagnosed for so many reasons - because the lab testing "recommended" by the CDC is proven to be unreliable and inaccurate. (I, myself, had THREE TESTS done before I was diagnosed). Because doctors are afraid to use the word Lyme (and I don't blame them) so they use their "safe" circle of diagnoses terms. Or because the disease is so layered, hidden and compounded in our bodies, that people like me - who had nothing wrong until I had my gallbladder removed, and then blamed my years of stomach issues on the surgery - are completely lost.
Also, if people were diagnosed and treated right away - think of all the millions of dollars the Big Pharma would lose out on. We are keeping those guys in business, baby!
I've read that over half of the panelists who wrote the IDSA Lyme guidelines have obvious conflicts of interest, including financial interests in drug companies, diagnostic tests, and patents, as well as consulting agreements with insurance companies. And of course, researchers and scientists with evidence in support of Chronic Lyme were intentionally excluded from the panel.
I could go deeper into this, but I think you get the point. These big groups that are controlling the well-being of our country are knee deep in bull$#!+. Which is partly why, even before seeing all the facts, I thought there could be some truth to this "conspiracy theory".
So back to that.
Ever heard of the Plum Island Animal Disease Center?
According to their web site, “The Plum Island Animal Disease Center is a Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) facility designed and constructed to work with the most dangerous animal diseases in the world, such as foot-and-mouth disease (FMD), Rinderpest, and African swine fever.
It's a place where the U.S. government makes biological weapons, including weapons consisting of diseased insects that can be dropped from airplanes on a (presumably foreign) population. One such insect is the deer tick, pursued as a germ weapon by the Nazis, the Japanese, the Soviets, and the Americans.
And "coincidentally", Plum Island is located only 10 miles from where Lyme Disease "originated" - Lyme, Conneticut.
People who place blame on the island say that infected ticks could have easily been transported to the mainland via birds and/or swimming deer.
And now the facility is moving to Kansas. Construction started last year, and is scheduled to become fully operational and permitted by 2022. How convenient for Homeland security to place such a threat right in the dead center of our country.

I'm really starting to learn that not everything is as it seems. It's scary what power and greed can do to our country, and it certainly makes me wonder what else is happening behind the scenes.
